History: Thisisan excellent original example of aGerman PrussianInfantry Officer Sword Model 1889, it was based on thePrussian Cuirassier broadsword, but with a distinct pierced semi-basked brass guard.

Monogram: The hilt looking nut has the German Officers initials engraved A S.

Hilt: ismade frombrass Gold plated, with most of the plating worn off.

Guard: Folding type made from brass Gold plated with the Prussian Eagle the state emblem.

Grip: Shark Skin covered grips with brass twist wire in very good condition withPrussian State Emblem.

Double Fuller (Blade):Solingen Steel, blade is straight and in extremely fine condition.

Scabbard: professionally fully refurbished madefromsteel, no dents,and looks amazing.

Length: swords overalllength in scabbard is 39\" or 99. cm, blade measures 32\" or 81.cm blade.
