There are plans of many of the military aircraft of the time, including those flown by the RFC and the German air force. This book was clearly intended to be an essential item of equipment for any British pilot and was used by many members of the RFC. This is the revised and enlarged 5th edition, several other editions (1915, 1916 & 1918) were produced during the war. It also includes a number of fascinating period adverts and lots of information on the foremost British aviation companies of the time.Condition:
In very good condition. The boards are good, with some fading, marks and signs of age and wear. There is some wear and fading to the spine. The gilt titling on the spine is quite worn and faded. The binding and hinges are very good and secure.The text is very good, with just a few minor marks to the endpapers.The illustrations, fold-out plan, and diagrams are in excellent condition.
