A good and rare WW1 sleeveless leather Jerkin,"No.2",by H.S. Stanton & Co.unmistakebly from the First World War,and with a very rarely survivingoriginal makers label.
Distinctive design,withr einforcing patch to left shoulder.Retains the original blanket lining.These were introduced in the latter months of 1916,and used innumerous iconic campaigns such asYpres,The
Makers label is paper,sewn onto a reinforcing cotton net mesh,into the right breast pocket.This method was only used during WW1.Post war,land indeed nearly up to the present day,labels were cloth,sewn into the left breast.*Size fits 34-41 inches,over tunic.
