**ACTION*MILITARY*SURPLUS**5800 AUBURN BLVDSACRAMENTO CA, USA, 95841(916) 338-3219THISLISTINGIS FOR ONE (1) Dutch used, US Mfg\'d MKII WW1 Brodie Helmet.After the end of World War 1, the Allied forces sold off much of their surplus stock of the Mk II Brodie helmets to the Dutch.The dutch used these helmets in their standard army, seeing action in World War 2.In the1950s The Dutch retired the Brodie helmets from use with the Dutch army, but they liked the design of the helmet so much that they started new manufacture of exact MkII clones, painted them grey, and used them in the Dutch Civil Defense Ministry.Although the majority of the Dutch Civil Defense Helmets were of newer 1950s Dutch production, they used whatever remaining original Allied helmets that were leftover and intact. They inserted new liners, slapped on a new coat of paint, and sent them to the Dutch Civil Defense Ministry for use in national defense.This particular Helmet, is one of the original Helmets given to the dutch at the end of the First World War, used by the Dutch army all the way through WW2, then reworked and given to the Dutch Civil Defense.*The heat stamp under the brim of the Helmet (ZB55) indicates that is was originally manufactured by theAmerican Sheetand Tin Plate Co.
