WWI U.S. Model 1912 calvary picket pin / farrier tool. These were also made to serve as shovel handle. The little hole in picket in is for a pin to attach shovel blade. End has hammer head and claw for minor field farrier work, replacing horses shoes, etc. Pin in very good used condition, leather sheath has strap that goes over the top missing, and is missing the metal ring on the side.
