Ww2 German M38 Luftwaffe / Paratroopers Steel Helmet By : Et For Sale
This is a great looking solid condition M1938 Luftwaffe Fallschirmjäger (Paratrooper) German Helmet. The exterior of the helmet retains
90% or better of its original factory paint. The exterior
also appears to have received a dark green field overpaint. As helmet was bought the exterior shell was polished up a little to get the nice factory paint.
The edges of the helmet exhibit areas of light rust & corrosion with the
same corrosion in areas on the liner band. The leather liner is in
good solid condition with slight wear and some staining around the
edges. The chinstrap harness
is in good overall condition with one area with damage and corrosion on
the snaps from storage. The inner dome pad is missing but that
appears to have been removed during the WWII period. The shell is
stamped ET71 indicating manufacture by the Eisenhuttenwerke firm in
