This is a replica of WW2 era German officer\'s winter parka coat. The fur is fake, but is of great quality. Worthy of keeping one warm on the fierce East Front! Definitely reenactment-worthy, but would also make great everyday coat during bitter cold winter.
I had purchased this coat recently to use as a costume for a theatre play, but ultimately was not used due to size not quite fit the person it was meant for. Since the maker would not take returns for the reason of sizing. The stated size of this coat is S (Small), but it fits much larger than standard US Small size. The actual numbers in terms of sizing are;
Chest: 47.6\" (121cm)Shoulder: 21.3\" (54cm)Sleeves: 25.6\" (65cm)Length: 37.8\" (96cm)
So, while seller\'s listed US size is S (38), I think it is 6 to 8 US sizes larger, making it more appropriate to be called L (44) or XL (46). I suppose parkas are supposed to be sized that way, though, because you would wear it over a tunic.
The item is new--only tried on once upon receipt.
The pictures are stock photo, but appears to be exactly true to the actual item.
