You are admiring a magnificent WW2 USN M-422a flight jacket by GORDON & FERGUSON from 1942, size-42. This example is inexcellent overall condition. The goatskin is very supple and retains strong colour. Furthermore, the leather doesn't have any unsightly stitches from removed patches or nameplates! The collar is pretty much full, however, there is veryslight hair loss on the back(SEEPIX)Moreover, its a beautiful golden brown that only 70 years of graceful aging could produce. The underneath of the collar has the standard USN stencil in silver.The zipper is the original TALON and is in perfect working condition. The slider even has the original factory leather toggle! The innerright pocket still has the original manufacturersspec chit!The lining is without odours and exhibits very strong colour. There is NO typical wear at the collar. The waist knit is original and has only a few moth nips from storage. All the buttons on the jacket are accounted for!The upper right chest sports the original early war name plate of the original owner-Lt.R.E.Torley.All in all, a superb jacket to add to your growing collection or to simply wear this coming spring.
