Up for sale is a WWII M1942 Paratrooper Jacket. This jacket is from the estate sale of a veteran. It is in excellent condition (there are no tears, punctures, or rips). I am not an expert of U. S. Army paratrooper uniforms and equipment, please ask as many questions as you need before offerding as I do not give refunds.
If you have any information about this item that would help clarify its identification, please, feel free contact me.
Jacket details:
Tags or identifying marks: there are no tags on the inside of the jacket; however, there is a number on the flap of each breast pocket that reads: “M 8503.”
Jacket Snaps: are marked, “SCOVILL MFG CO.” There is some corrosion deposit on the inside of many of the snaps. All snaps are present and in working order.
Zippers: there are three zippers (2 short zippers, marked, “TALON”; 1 full length zipper, marked, “CONMAR”). All zippers are in excellent working order.

I wear a size 42 regular. It is snug on me but still fits, so this jacket could be a 38 or 40 Regular. This is a “guesstimate.”
If you are an Airborne collector this could be a great addition to your collection.
