You are offerding on a WW2 Uniform from a Silver Star Recipient. Staff Sgt Otis J. Waddell was in the 3rd Infantry Division the ENTIRE WAR. He received a Purple Heart and the Silver Star as well as his Combat Infantryman Badge. Along with his uniform Jacket (38R), Pants (Size 32/33), Shirt (15-33) and Hat there are various papers. Included are: his discharge papers, Pay Record, Immunization Register, Life Insurance, 2 sets of orders and 2 V-mail letters. He isn’t include in the online record of Silver Star Recipients and I’ve taken steps to see that he is included.

The 3rd Infantry Division is a United States Army infantry division based at Fort Stewart, Georgia.

In World War II, it landed with Gen. Patton's task force in a contested amphibious landing on the coast of Morocco overwhelming Vichy French defenders in November 1942. In 1943, The division invaded Sicily in July, and invaded Italy at Salerno in September, before fighting in France and finally Germany. The Division suffered the highest casualty rate of any American Division in World War II. Its exploits are aptly illustrated by its Medal of Honor recipient Audie Murphy, featured in the Hollywood movie, "To Hell and Back”.

I accept returns only if the item was not as described in the sale. Buyer has 3 days to inspect the item and contact me if any issues appear. Item must be returned within 7 days of receipt or receiving refund approval; buyer is responsible for all shipping charges.
