Wwi / Ww1 Us Army, M-1905 Bayonet, Dated 1918, Missing Scabbard For Sale
WWI / WW1 U.S. Army Issue, M-1905 BAYONET for the M-1903 Rifle, Bayonet is Dated 1918, Missing Scabbard. Original World War I U.S. Army M-1905 Bayonet. The Bayonet is marked “S.A. (with flaming bomb ordnance dept. stamp)” on one side of the blade and “US, 795018” on the other side of the blade. The barrel locking mechanism works perfectly. The Bayonet has its original Wooden Handles, but one side has a piece of the Wood missing (see picture). The Blade shows age but is in good condition and needs to be cleaned up. All of the parts on the Bayonet are nice and tight with no movement or looseness. The Blade measures about 16” inches in length. The entire Bayonet measures just over 20 1/2” inches.
