Wwi Imperial Russian Artillery Kindjal Short Sword W/ Scabbard-unit Marked For Sale
Very good condition and guaranteed all original WWI Imperial Russian Kindjal short sword that was used by artillery troops and is also associated with the Cossacks. This extremely rare piece is dated 1912 on the blade with a Russian eagle proof, opposite side is marked with a crowned A and a regular A. Sword is also Unit marked on the left side of the brass guard. 17 ½” curved blade has original bright metal finish with some gray and brown and areas of pitting, has been sharpened. Wood grips have original finish and a good tight fit, no cracks or chips. All brass fittings are intact and have attractive untouched old patina. Fitted in correct original scabbard that is of leather covered wooden construction. Leather is all intact with no cracks or chips, shows some normal wear. Complete with all brass fittings that have lovely untouched patina. Scabbard is also unit marked on the brass near the throat, matching the last three numbers of the unit marking on the sword. This is an exceptionally rare early Imperial Russian Kindjal sword and will make a superb addition to your collection and a magnificent display.
