I am selling this grouping for a friend\'s Widow...he purchased the group from an sale in the mid west some 8 to 10 years ago...and it was the pride of his small U. S. collection......I am not knowledgeble about the U S Army WW2 paratroops - so I am using some descriptions that he had kept from the original sale.
There are twelve separate items included in the grouping...and they will be listed separately now - please be sure to watch my sale listings to sell all of the items in the grouping.
I am listing them all without reserve, as the lady wants a quick sale of the collection.
\"THIS IS A GREAT, VERY RARE, ORIGINAL VINTAGE PAIR OF U S ARMY PARATROOPER\'S MILITARY UNIFORM JUMP COAT/JACKET/TUNIC. This wonderful old uniform is a great, vintage design, with a 101st. Airborne Paratroop patch, D-Day Normandy Invasion Flag with Denim reinforced elbows, has it\'s original belt, ismade of cotton, size tag and date are not readable, from the World War II era. Very rare to find and would be a wonderful addition to any collection. This, and all of the other 101st. items we currently have listed, come from the estate grouping of a Wisconsin vet. Jay Smith, who served in WWII with the 502nd. Parachute Infantry Regiment and participated in the D-Day invasion. This jacket measures 21.5\" from armpit to armpit, 31\" from to to bottom. This appears to be in Very Good , Crisp, Clean condition, and displays MUCH better than in pictures.\"
