For sale is a framed U.S. Army honorable discharge document dating from WWII. What makes it unique is that it's framed in what appears to be an Army issue frame -- check out the insignia on the top of the frame in picture 2. The discharge was issued to Staff Sergeant Adrien L. Dansby of the 141st Infantry at Fort Sam Houston on July 4, 1945. Dansby hailed from Meridian, Texas.Dansby was inducted on Jan. 15, 1941 and officially discharged July 4, 1945. He participated in the following battles and campaigns: Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, Southern France and Rhineland (as listed on the document). Dansbywas awarded a Purple Heart with one oak leaf cluster, EAME Campaign Medal with four bronze stars, American Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Dansby was inducted on Jan. 15, 1941 and officially discharged July 4, 1945. The frame measures approximately 10.25" x 12.25". The frame does have vintage wear, so please look at the pictures for condition. The document is yellowed with age. I have not taken it out of the frame.
