This isan originalB-3 Flight Jacket from the US Army Air Force, made for use by a youngAirman during World War Two. This is a later war issue I'm thinking judging by the odd patchwork of horsehide leather pieces on the back. Thishas two tones of leather as well: reddish and dark brown, and was made by the Rough Wear Clothing Co. of Middletown, PA.

And interestingly, the last time thiswas 'on the market,' aJeep was traded for thisin Europe,from a youngAirmanheading home,to a Pilot on leave, in about 1945...

This is sized '42' and measures 29 in. down theback; 18 in. on the arm inseam; 24 in. on the outsie of the arm; 20 in. across the chest and shoulders

This hassome wear: this was worn during the War by a Pilot, and has sustainedsome moderate damage: foremost there is a 'V' shaped slit on the left arm that was repaired long ago by sewing over it; the zipper has one weak spot and needs replacing on one side to function, but it is an original 'Comar' brand; one of the leather neck straps is coming undone/there are areas especially about the shoulders where the leather surface is checking with some slight flaking to the finish/overall there are a few nicks in the leather/and the shearing lining is soiled with time with some tuft loss, and could use an expert cleaning--the leather has been cleaned and lightly oiled with leather treatment, and remains flexible and in overall good condition.
