This is the personal scrap book of A G Paulis. He was a Navy man from the Danville Virginia area.
Recently this scrap book came up for sale. I am sure many of you will be interested in this gem of WWII
AG Paulis seen a lot of action and his scrap book attests to that. Here is a fairly complete list of the contents. It's string bound and not in bad shape. Opens nicely with some edge and crease wear. But all in all for being 70 years old its nice
First page is large newspaper clipping of US troops in North Africa. With the caption And we won't be back til it's over ,over here.

8 original church programs for services aboard the USS Wasp
9 different clippings of the attack and sinking of the USS Wasp on Sept 15 1942 by Japanese torpedoes. This attack was in the Pacific. One of the articles documents the saving of AG Paulis from the burning ship
This is followed by 3 nice 8 by 10 glossies of Paulis being welcomed home by the locals
AG Paulis before being on the Wasp was on the USS St Louis in the summer of 1939. In the scrape book is a cruisograph by Lloyds of Vallejo California dated 1940 with it imprinted AG Paulis. This shakedown cruise document is very cool.
Also in the scrap book is a booklet put together for the sailors on the USS Rockbridge to brief them on the action on Bikini Island during testing of the a bomb June 1946
