Soldbuch discharged on December 21, 1943. He served in the Reserve-Grenadier-Bataillon 377, within the Grenadier Regiment 377 , attached to the225 INFANTERIE DIVISION, , fighting at the siege of Leningrad. After the Soviet offensive in January 1944 (which led to the liberation of the city from a siege that lasted more than 900 days), the division had to retreat to Narva and Luga, where he suffered very many casualties, which were supplied by the remains the shattered 9. Luftwaffe-Felddivision. In February 1944, further withdrawal led to the division of Daugavpils and Livonia locations (Lithuania). In October 1944, a new Russian offensive forced the 225 Infanterie Division cross the river Daugava to Riga and finally retire to atricherarse inthe Peninsula of KURLAND . In the coming months, the Division participated in six major defensive battles in Kurland until, in April 1945, the last defenders surrendered to Soviet troops. Soldbuch with numerous inputs: material delivery, vaccines, permits ... On page 21, there is an entry, in what appears to be, a mention for a medal, but I can not say, which one is dated August 26, 1944 . it is not known if this soldier, was imprisoned, disappeared or was KIA. It is accompanied by two photographs, which appears with comrades and a ticket 10000 Reichsmarks. Soldbuch complete with all pages and the cover photograph. well preserved Impresive document, verdifficult to achieve. Great article , for collectors. Few documents are so well informed. Interesting document of the Second World War with deterioration and normal wear for the passage of time ...and a war. Take a piece of the History to yourself to house.
