WWII Paratrooper Jump BootsThese boots came directly from Mr. P. though there are no identifying marks. Mr. P was in the 82nd Airborne 307th Parachute Engineers Company "C". He earned his jump wings in September 1942. He served in Sicily, Naples - Foggia and Rome - Arno. Mr. P. was a demolitions expert. According to Mr. P. he jumped behind enemy lines and blew up a bridge with German vehicles. He was captured and declared Missing In Action. He escaped with several other men and made it back to friendly lines. Fort a short period he rejoined his unit but because of his POW escapee status He was sent back to the United States. He eventually, after several requests, made it back to the Fort Benning Parachute School. He was an instructor at the jump school until discharged in October 1945.Please check my other sales for many other items of this man.
