Wwii Rough Wear A-2 Flying Jacket Repro By Good Wear Leather Sz. 42:
John Chapman makes the finest US made reproduction flying jackets today. He captures every detail of this 1941 contract A-2 flying jacket originally made by the Rough Wear Clothing Co. The three year old russet goatskin on this jacket has beautiful grain and has started to fade slightly in wear areas that looks very much like vintage goatskin from the 1940's. There are some wear areas but no rips, tears or stains. The lining and knits are both in excellent condition with no tears or moth nips. Includes an original vintage 1940's 'Hershey Bar' Talon zipper puller. The jacket fits very much like a wartime sz. 42. Measurements are as follows: front pit to pit: 22"; shoulder to shoulder: 19"; sleeve length from shoulder seam to end of knit cuff: 25"; back length from collar seam to bottom of knit waist: 25". If I were a few pounds lighter this jacket would not be for sale! I've kept it stored in a smoke free home so has no odors or smells. The wait time for a new jacket from Good Wear is well over a year and costing $1,449. Get hip and grab this one so you don't have the wait.
