This is a great offering. It is rare to be able to get so complete an assemblage of items from one person's career, and though I was tempted, maydealers piece this stuff out in hopes of realizing more money. This is allof Col Laurence P Sangford's Uniform, sword, helmet, buttons, pins, patches from his military career. One metal pin is dated 1938, so he must have been in the military prior to the War. According to a family member he was on Eisenhower's staff. He was important as an architect. According to some of the papers that came from the estate, he was in the battle of Normandy. I will be adding numerous pictures on Monday, including some of items not already pictured, mostly papers, but a couple of other tid bits as well.
