from Pearl Harbor Survivor

Authenticalbum was originally obtained by a US Army Coast Artilleryman who was present at Hickam Field Hawaii during the infamous attack on7December1941. Inside the front cover of this album, Cpl. Morris C. Culotta 12017432wrote a journal of his early service in the army from his enlistment on 25November1940 through 1June1943. He served in Hawaii from 17August1941 through 17March1943 with ananti-aircraft unit.

This album is listed "as found" andto the best of my knowledge,is complete as issued. It has 11 printed pages with all (150)original patches still in place.There are two extra blank pages of which one has additional patches glued in by the original owner, 5 additional patches in all. Album appears to have been originally bound with two screw fasteners, but is now loosely-bound with a brown boot-lace (again, "as found"). Covers have bumped corners, foxing, and show some wear. Interior pages are in very good condition with the patches themselves being exceptional (patches are so gloss brightthat there is some glare reflected during the photo process).

Some of the patches included in this albumare the Commando Engineer Amphibious, Engineer Amphibian, Alaskan Defense Command, First Special Service Force, Panama Canal Department, First Guadalcanal USMC, Philippine Division, black felt Flying Cadet, Tank Destroyer, a variety of Parachute Oval patches, 2nd, 8th, and 20th Armored Divisions, 1st and 2nd Cavalry Divisions, 11th, 17th, 82nd, and 101st Airborne Divisions, and what may be all activated infantry divisions during the Second World War andlater, the KoreanWar.
