The purse shows age and use but is a scare and remain in good solid shape with no issues that I can see. It is named in ink period done on the inside flap of the purse Goold, Juanita. Ms. Goold later became Mrs. Wilke. She was from Madison, Wisconsin. She was a signal corps officer and she was on the SHAEF staff. I remember her telling me that she was one of the first female officers to enter France after D-day. Yes, I got this direct from her.
