During WWII many Navy clothing items such as flight suits, flight jackets, and deck jackets were stamped with theU.S.N. logo. This isanEXACT reproduction of the OFFICIALUSNrubber stamp inREGULATION1 inchletter height as used during WWII. Original USN markings were applied using rubber stamps, heat transfer or \"iron on\" USN marks were not used and do not look the same once applied or age the same as original ink marks. This stamp can be used an unlimited number of times with either black or white inks to mark any clothing items with theUSN stamp. The USN markwas commonly on the left chest of the N-4 or deckjacket, and on the underside of the collar of the leather flight jackets in addition to the blue denim work trousers. This stamp can be used to mark leather items if used with white ink.Depending on the amount of inking applied to the stamp prior to application, different vintage/faded looks can easily be obtained.
