I purchased this Medal and its Case from an Antique shop in Cambria, California whilst on holiday in 1998. I have very little knowledge about the subject of military medals so please look carefully at the photographs provided. I do however, believe that this is a genuine Purple Heart Medal. It is full size and in very good condition. It has \"Robert E Hanna\" etched on the back. The Ribbon Bar was missing when I purchased it in 1998 and in its place was a square cut from what appears to be a brown envelope. On the square is written:-

ORDER OF PURPLE HEART
REC.D MAR 29.1943
PURPLE HEART #4364451
RECEIPT ACKNOWLEDGED
3/29/43

The Case whilst aged is also in very good condition (please see photographs).
