Walker-Renaker Pair Pink Porcelain CHICKENS w/gold:

These two pieces ROOSTER and HEN are from the Mfg firm Walker-Renaker from 1952 to 1959 when the factory closed. They were designed by John Renaker\'s mother. They are decorated with tiny porcelain flowers and real fired gold. The gold is exceptionally shinny and being fired \"on\" will not rub off. Both are very detailed with nice eyes and tiny flowers that are all in tact except one tiny chip on hen flower. Both have blue glaze accenting tail and feet. The rooster has a sculpted rose in his beak. There are no other flaws on them. The HR collectors book has them at $20.00 each in 1959. The hen is 2 1/2\" high and 2 1/2\" wide. The rooster is 3\" high and 2 1/2\"\" high. Bisque is unglazed vitreous porcelain, where the gold \"is\" the pieces had to be carefully glazed for the gold to fire shinny and the bisque is pink.
