The full moon hangs low in the sky as a woman prepares for Songkhan, the annual Thai water festival. It marks Thailand's New Year, determined by the passing of the sun from Aries into Taurus. A silver sa-lung, or bowl is her offering. Orapin Seubtim depicts the girl in a bygone style.
