Well preserved pen in the fact that the body is Very BLACK, little to No fade, Crisp chasing & clear imprint, still has traces of red in the \"12\" on the end. pen has no cracks, no warp, no personalization, no scratch, no Chips except one very teen cap edge chip ,Cap is a crack free taper fit that fits on perfectly & posts perfectly. 6 & 3/4\" posted

There are markings on the feed, patent dates (1884, 1899, & 1903) It has the ideal globe

Waterman Ideal #2 14K Nib with EXCELLENT iridium, It has a round vent, so it is most likely a genuine Waterman replacement, It has flex when writing, the nib is not a wet noodle. Not Very flexy, you still have some control for every day writing, it flexes from a fine point to a wider line as shown with heavy to medium pressure, it will provide excellent line variation & expression, Very nice shading also , Very manageable pen & Some flair when desired! a pleasure to write with.

I used Pelikan Royal Blue 4001 ink to make the sample shown. Sample shown is from dipping in ink, but the section threads are excellent & tight precision fitting, I would expect it to be a leak free pen especially with a little silicone on the threads.

The Pen feed ink channel is very clear. BUT THE PEN WILL NEED A CLEANING, SOLD AS FOUND, STILL HAS INK STAINS ON THE NIB

The pen is approx 5 & 3/16\" capped and over 6 & 3/4\" posted ~ Good Size Pen
