Waterman #7 Red Ripple Fountain Pen - Flexible Red Nib: Ready-to-write For SaleWaterman Red Ripple #7
Red Flexible Nib
Fully Restored and Ready-to-Write
This is a fully restored ready-to-write red ripple Waterman's #7 fountain pen with a fantastic red nib. In Waterman's color designation a red nib is designed for "standard configuration for correspondence", but red nibs vary in flexiblity. This one is pretty flexible, not like a pink though. Its flexibility is illustrated by these lines which were made using it.
The pen is in excellent condition although the barrel imprint is weak. The only real flaw in the pen is a tight crack in the cap lip which I have remedied by removing the cap band and forcing epoxy into the crack and then replacing the cap band. While removed I gold plated over the small amount of brassing that was present on the band. I also gold plated the bit of brassing on the ball of the pocket clip.

I maintain an inventory of vintage pens including Parker Duofolds, Conklin, Sheaffer PFM and Waterman red ripple including a variety of their #5 and #7 "color nib" pens.
I have recently added a few Parker Duofold Big Reds with rare (for Duofolds) flexible nibs to my inventory of Big Reds. These pens can be viewed at Jake's Pens, a link to which can be found by clicking on any of the "me" links on this sale page.
