Wedgwood Jasperware Teal THREE (3) Vases~Urn~Fluted~Posy + Pin Tray~ Pristine:
$80.00
Thissale is for THREE (3)Wedgwood Jasperware Teal Vases and a Pin Tray.
Allare in mint ~ pristine condition having no chips, nicks, fleabites, cracks, scratches, crazing, or restorations. There is no missing relief and the whiterelief is not discolored. They also do not have any of those pesky little graymarks often found on Jasperware. I personally never used these for theirintended purpose, only displayed them and they were cabinet kept. These lovely pieceshave been packed away since 2004. Their former owner(s) also took very goodcare of them.
ThePin Tray is oblong and measures 6” side to side x 3 1/4" front toback x 11/16” tall. It is marked “Wedgwood, “ Made in England” which is faint andeither “WP” or “WD”. There is no “®”.It is not marked with a date. It is decorated with a single shell.
TheFirst Vase is urn shaped with 2 handles. It measures 3 1/2" tall x2 3/4" in diameter at the top and 2” in diameter at the base. It is 3”wide from handle to handle. It is marked “Wedgwood”, “ Made in England ®” with additional letters “BP” whichare difficult to read. The pattern I believe are “Sacrifice” Figures.
TheSecond Vase is what I would call fluted. It measures 4” tall x 2 1/4"in diameter at the top and 1 3/4” in diameter at the base. It is marked “Wedgwood”,“ Made in England ®”. There are noadditional letters or a date that I can find. It is decorated with the DancingHours theme but the body of vase is so small, there are only 2 figures. Theonly thing I want to point out is the inside of the bottom of the vaseappears dusty and I did not notice this until reviewing the pictures we took. The vase has been gently washed and it is still there. I examined this with amagnifying glass and I can only see it at a certain angle under brightlighting. I would guess it is loss to the finish but it is a strangeplace for that to happen. I mentioned this for accuracy.
TheThird Vase is a Posy Pot. It measures 3 1/2" tall x 3 3/8” indiameter at the top and 2 1/2” in diameter at the base. It is marked “Wedgwood ®”, “ Made in England”, with additionalletters “G” and “PC”. The date shown is 1759-1984 which commemorates the 225thAnniversary of Wedgwood. The pattern I believe are “Cupid” Figures. If you arefamiliar with this shaped vase, there were 2 sizes made. This is the smallersize. I have the larger one in Terra Cotta in a separate sale.
Backin my collecting days, I used to know most of the Jasperware scenes. I havebeen away from it for a while so you may want to check my pattern information. Thereis not a lot of good reference material on Jasperware. I purchased a verypricey reference guide which turned out to be nothing but a compilation of theauthor’s collection and not much information on mid to late century Jasperware.
Note:The numbering you see in the photos is more for my benefit so I didn’t get thepictures mixed up and to give you a view of the entire piece.
Theseare from my personal collection. I purchased these and many other of my unusualcolored pieces between the late 80’s and early 90’s from the nicest elderlylady that had a little shop in Belleair, Florida. She specialized in scarcecolors and was always unearthing something. If she knew it was a color I mightbe interested in, she would call me and I got first chance.

All of my Jasperware buyers havebeen very happy with their purchases. Please check my response and buy withconfidence. One of my Waterford buyers personally emailed me “The best, most thorough bubble wrap job I've ever seen -that package would have protected a carton of eggs!”

I live in a rural area in the mountains of Western NorthCarolina. There is a 1 day delay on all shipping types USPS offers. Yourpackage goes from my local post office to Asheville and then to Charlotte whichaccounts for that extra day. The clock doesn’t start ticking until it reachesCharlotte. I cannot offer overnight express shipping. Much to my surprise, thelocal post office charges the overnight rate but the parcel actually doesn’tarrive for 2 days. If you need overnight service, UPS is an alternative I cancheck on for you. Priority mail is supposed to be 2 – 3 business days, addanother day as described above.
The local post office closes extra days when a holiday isinvolved. If a holiday is on Monday, the post office closes both Friday andSaturday – same with Thanksgiving. I do get mail delivery which is how they getaway with closing the postal location. I have to go down the mountain to my boxfor the mail and they do not pick up parcels.
If you have a problem with this situation, please do notoffer. Once your parcel leaves my hands, it is totally out of my control. Pleasekeep this is mind when rating my shipping time.
At the present time, I only ship within the US, excludingAlaska and Hawaii.
Please check back often. We are downsizing and will belisting many interesting things including antique items from my personalcollection.
Thank-you for taking the time to check out my listing!
