A pair of large Wedgwood plates in Jasperware. This color treatment is known as \"reverse\" and consists of a solid white Jasper body with light blue sprigged relief. This treatment was only manufactured for a brief period in about 1979 and 1980. These plate are decorated with garlands, six scenes of putti playing. One plate has a central image of Cupid Sharpening His Arrows, the other an image of Cupid Stringing His Bow. One faces right and one faces left, making a matched pair.The plate is 8.875\" in diameter. Condition: as new. No wear or chips to plates.
