Wee Forest Folk M-126 'attic Treasure' Retired 1995 For Sale
Although these little mice have been around for many years, the business could still be called a cottage industry since all the pieces are made by the Petersens themselves (Mother Annette, son Willy, and daughter Donna)and a few members of their staff. This is Attic Treasure M-126; you can tell it is an older piece since it starts with a '1'. It was released in 1985 and retired in 1995. The designer and sculptor for this little treasure was Annette. Though I'm not an expert, I find she makes the slightly larger pieces. This adorable little mouse must stand on a book to reach into her hope chest. In it we can see a picture hat, evening gloves, boots and a copy of her favorite book, Little Mice'. Although the chest is painted to look like wood, the handles are painted with metallic paint to look like metal. There are no chips, scratches, fading or repairs on this little treasure. She will come with an original box.
