The reverse of the coin depicts the Weeping Madonna of Syracuse, one of the most unusual of the approved by the Catholic Church miraculous images of the Blessed Virgin Mary. On top of the reverse, the inscription: “Weeping Madonna of Syracuse” – the name of the coin.
