Contents are mostly clean. Paper quality is fairly good.
Not Brittle like most of the other things published by the
National Tribune in this time period ...220 very useful little publication.Strickler compiled the information for all fighting and organized it
state by state, and then in alphabetical order.From Alabama to Oregon (yes, there were skirmishes in Oregon during the War) to West Virginia,
and from Appomattox to Gettysburg to Shiloh to Vicksburg - all battles big and small.In the back, there is a list of Union Corps organizations,
and a list of vessels assigned to various Union Blockade Squadrons and Flotillas.Listings include some extra information such as battle dates, capture / surrender dates of
various cities, towns, and naval vessels, and other details important to bigger battles.While the covers are essentially off,
the book itself is still solid and can be used without too
much worry. It is "staple sewn" and very align="center">
