We have here a vintage Whiting and Davis enamel mesh purse of a design popular with the trendy flappers of the 1920s! The bag has a nice weighty feel, thanks in no small part to it\'s intricately hand-etched frame and features a 8\" light chain attached. The intricate design on both sides of the bag feature a peacock sitting on a tree branch that is budding with pale pink blooms. The bottom of the bag is finished with pointed fringe, of the same enameled metal that makes up the rest of the body, aiding in it\'s sleek and high-quality beauty.

The purse has been well loved over the decades and as such, has suffered some wear and tear. The silky interior of the purse is worn and ripped in both corners near the frame. On the outside, there is a spot on one side beneath the frame of the purse that has some links missing, resulting in a small hole.
