Wilcox Du Barry Pattern Coffee Pot, Elegant Chased Silver Plate, Vintage Teapot:
Wilcox Du Barry Coffee Pot
Wilcox Du Barry Coffee Pot
This gorgeous silverplated coffee server was made by Wilcox Silver Co./International Silver of Meriden Connecticut. This elegant piece dates from the 1960’s and is Du Barry pattern, item number 7069. This pattern is sometimes found in other variations without the chased floral decoration on the sides and lid. This server could be used for either coffee, hot water, or tea. It holds 6 cups of liquid and was never monogrammed. The pot stands 10” (25.5 cm) tall and measures 9 1/2” (24 cm) wide, handle to spout.
This wonderful vintage coffee pot is in very good condition, with a brilliant shine and no areas of wear to its silver layer. There is a very small dent located on the lower side, just above one of the feet. We found one insignificant little ding on the opposite side just to the left of the chased floral design (see detail photos). The pot has a small number of minor scratches, and one that is a bit more noticeable (located above the chased design). The hinge on the lid is firmly attached and swings smoothly but it does have some “play” in it (wobble). The interior of the pot is very clean.
