This is an inscribed 1st edition of Wild Animals at Home, by noted naturalist and wildlife artist Ernest Thompson Seton (1860-1946). The inscription reads: \"To Miss Dorothy Devenger with best wishes of Ernest Thompson Seton 16 Sep. 1915\". The book is divided into twelve chapters detailing wildlife the author encountered \"up and down the Rocky Mountains from British Columbia to Mexico\" including Coyotes, Bear, Antelope and more. There are over 150 drawings and 15 b&w plates. An interesting slice of natural history from the late 19th, early 20th century. Ernest Thompson Seton was also recognized as one of the founding pioneers of the Boy Scouts of America and wrote the Boy Scout Handbook in 1910. He died in 1946 in Seton Village, New Mexico.
