William Collins Rare 1800s Landscape Oil Painting Clover Leaf Design Frame :
This May be the work of Famous English Artist William Collins that died in the 1840s ??. I am unsure if its his work or a similer artist ???. Signature looks like W. Collins. He did paint Landscapes and This is Very Well Painted. This was painted in the 1800s Could be Early 1800s?. Looks super old. Oil onBoard Has small square nails holding the panel to the frame. Frame is a Plaster over what looks like Pine wood Has a coverleaf type design. Signature looks original to the painting. Painting measures app. 10 x18".Outside of frame measures app. 17 1/2 x 26 .If this is not by thisEnglish artist then I would guess early 1800s American School art ? AS IS top part of painting has some spots that look like old surface repairs to the right side right of the painting above the mountain and up and over a little. Also has some long up and down lines in the painting may be Old varnish or in the board or kind of looks part of the paint I am unsure may even be original to the painting ???. Frame is great for its age slight age wear .As I am no expert on this Sold AS IS I will guarentee this to be 1800s Era work and real Original signature to the painting. If anyone is an expert on this artist any help would be great. View my Other sales for a similer Painting with the same frame by this Artist they were found together . Thank You and Good Luck!!!!
