William Ewart Gladstone,FRS,FSS(29 December 1809– 19 May 1898), was a BritishLiberalpolitician. In a career lasting over sixty years, he served asPrime Ministerfour separate times (1868–1874, 1880–1885, February–July 1886 and 1892–1894), more than any other person. Gladstone was also Britain's oldest Prime Minister, 84 when he resigned for the last time. He had also served asChancellor of the Exchequerfour times (1853–1855, 1859–1866, 1873–1874, and 1880–1882).
Gladstone first entered Parliament in 1832. Beginning as aHigh Tory, Gladstone served in the Cabinet ofSir Robert Peel. After the split of theConservativesGladstone was aPeelite– in 1859 the Peelites merged with the Whigs and the Radicals to form the Liberal Party. As Chancellor Gladstone became committed to low public spending and to electoral reform, earning him the sobriquet "The People's William".
Gladstone's first ministry saw many reforms including Disestablishment of theChurch of Irelandand the introduction ofsecret voting. After his electoral defeat in 1874, Gladstone resigned as leader of the Liberal Party, but from 1876 began a comeback based on opposition to Turkey's Bulgarian atrocities. Gladstone'sMidlothian Campaignof 1879–1880 was an early example of many modern political campaigning techniques. After the1880 election, he formed his second ministry, which saw crises in Egypt (culminating in the death ofGeneral Gordonin 1885), and in Ireland, where the government passed repressive measures but also improved the legal rights of Irish tenant farmers. The government also passed theThird Reform Act.
Back in office in early 1886, Gladstone proposed Irishhome rulebut this was defeated in the House of Commons in July. The resulting split in the Liberal Party helped keep them out of office, with one short break, for twenty years. In 1892 Gladstone formed his last government at the age of 82. The Second Irish Home Rule Bill passed the Commons but was defeated in the Lords in 1893. Gladstone resigned in March 1894, in opposition to increased naval expenditure. He left Parliament in 1895 and died three years later aged 88.
Gladstone is famous for his oratory, for his rivalry with the Conservative LeaderBenjamin Disraeli, and for his poor relations withQueen Victoria, who once complained, "He always addresses me as if I were a public meeting."
Gladstone was known affectionately by his supporters as "The People's William" or the "G.O.M." ("Grand Old Man", or, according to Disraeli, "God's Only Mistake").

We have had a great amount of success internationally and want to do what we can to continue to sell our items worldwide. Unfortunately in order to show proof of shipping, we now have to ship items out of the United States, except Canada , registered mail which is $20.00 additional shipping fee. There are too many orders which are not being received in a timely fashion, or lost etc. and this apparently is the only way to keep both of us honest. We understand that some postal systems are very slow once it leaves the border and apparently this is now the only way we can both be protected by the Seller and Buyer Protection Programs within .. We do allow you to combine sale wins, and will not charge the .25 cent additional fee per item on all international orders except Canada. This should allow bulk buyers and our regulars to benefit from dealing with us.
Any single item won in any of our sales will be processed and shipped within 1 business day upon receipt of payment.
**** Most orders will be shipped within one business day of payment receipt, however a list of several items may take 2 to 3 business days depending upon the size of the list. Massive size lists will be handled as quick as possible.
We ask that all lists be paid in full 14 days from the first sale win.

All items shipped in reinforced shipping mailer. Shipping is done every day, and done 5 to 6 times a week. Any large lists of 15 item or more items may take up to 5 days before items are shipped depending upon volume. All efforts are made to ship immediately.
Our shipping is not actual shipping costs. For simplicity we charge a normal fee and if we over charge too much we do refund shipping back by Paypal. We do not profit in shipping. We send all items in a reinforced mailer or protected envelope. Each mailer costs about $1.00 and oversized costs us more. Plus tape gas etc. In other words these are extras which people seem to overlook or expect us to take a loss on in the end. We also have a shipper help package the items so that you can get your items more quickly. All overseas charges are for most destinations and some destinations may require additional fees because of size or weight and will then charge to actual cost of shipping for items when shipping is $12.00 not including the registered shipping fee. We are one of the last who have had to change our out of the USA shipping charges. This is done simply because of lost items, and items delivered in a very slow fashion by out of the USA postal services. Also because to keep up with ’s expectations with us a seller.
Paypal is the only payment method accepted.
