Part Description: Original Winchester 1873 3rd model 38-40 rifle barrel. This is a rare 1/2 octagon type very seldom seen on the 1873 model. The barrel is 24 inches long. This is a early made example from the late 1890\'s. The barrel is in overall good shape and is reblued. The finish is mostly a blue on the exterior.The dovetails are all very serviceable. Barrel address and caliber markings are faint, but mostly readable. The bore is about average. It has ok rifling throughout with some pitting. The barrel threading is serviceable shape. Overall, a 1873 barrel in a rare configuration.
