This card:Center image not embossed, apple or fruit tree border is embossed. Light Green / Gray paper.A very nice vintage holiday greeting postcard, divided back style and embossed border, \"Hearty Thanksgiving Greeting\". Very similar to a previous card I sold, but different caption. Generally known to be an image by Schmucker. Pilgrim woman by fence with pumpkins. Please note that there are different variations in color and image details among such Winsch Thanksgiving postcards, so this card is as shown. Guaranteed old and original. Postally used, with stamp, Binghamton, N.Y. Nov 20 1915 postmark, and ink written address and message. My scanner or scanner flash can give the image a slightly pinkish tone.
Condition: Very Good, with light to average age wear, including light corner tip bumping, and some light soiling and stray marks. Very presentable. THIS CARD HAS A VERY TINY POSITIONING-WIRE HOLE (THIS IS NOT A TACK OR PINHOLE). It is hidden in the upper left corner of the gold frame, but can be seen with a light, (hardly even upon close look w/o a light). Such positioning-wire holes were manufacturing marks from the very high quality printing process of the German printers at the time.
