Excellent; At first glance you would mistake this rod for being NEW, but looking closely under bright light, you may see some minor cosmetic blemishes (e.g., very faint scuffing and/or scratches). Overall, the rod has new properties. ALL PICTURES ARE OF ACTUAL ITEM.

Leland on the IM6 Series

The IM6 Series were the first rods designed and built by G. Loomis back in the early 80's. Crafted from graphite, these were one of the finest rod ever made. Their full flexing action gives the angler the advantage when presenting the fly with accuracy and delicacy. R.L. Winston Rod Company

R.L Winston is one of the oldest rod manufacturers in the world, and for good reason. Founded in 1929, the company was located on 6th street in downtown San Francisco, just blocks away from Leland. Raised in the Bay Area, Winston evolved on the waters and casting ponds that helped establish the area as a fly fishing Mecca.
Throughout the company's history they have stayed true to the idea that there will always be a market for those who appreciate fine craftsmanship. Soon after the company's inception their reputation as a high quality rod company blossomed. Within only a few years their rods were being used in tournaments throughout the United States. Winston bamboo rods quickly became known as some of the finest anywhere. Bamboo rods made in the San Francisco shop have become some of the most sought after in the world. Although the majority of rods produced today are graphite, they still manufacture bamboo. Only 100 bamboo rods are made by the company each year, a testament to the time put into their individual creation.

In the 1950's the company began to develop fly rods made of fiberglass. Created by one of Winston's true innovators, Doug Merrick, the 'glass' rods produced during that time have become collectables. Today, in an effort to enable the modern fly fisherman to taste what once was, the company reintroduced a fiberglass series of rods, the Winston Retro.

Winston has managed to employ their decades of experience building rods in the company's current rod designs. Maintaining the soul that has always been present in their rods, Winston produces some of the industry's finest graphite rods using the industry's most advanced materials. While at the same time maintaining the soul that has always been present in their rods. Today, Winston offers rods for every fishing application. They currently have over nine separate rod series. FedEx Ground or Home Delivery is our standard method of shipping, and we charge a flat rate of ten dollars ($10.00 USD) for addresses within the Lower Forty-Eight United States.

If, however, time is tight and you need things in a hurry, we offer Overnight shipping for a flat rate of $50.00 USD. Express 3-Day is $15.00 USD and 2-Day is $35.00 USD.

Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $35.00 USD.

Shipping to Canada is $25.00 USD FedEx ONLY.

All other international shipping is: $60.00 USD + Duties and Taxes* **.

However, it's impossible for us to tell the complete history of the items we receive. With all this in mind, Leland Upgrade will accept returns within 14 days of the date you receive the item. Within this window, we will issue you a 90% refund if the item is not what you expected, unless for some reason the item arrives damaged or not in the condition as described, in which case we will issue a full refund. Leland Upgrade reserves the right to refuse a refund if we find that the item returned to us is damaged or is not in the same condition as it was at the time we shipped it to you. We keep this at our discretion, but bear in mind that you're our fishing buddy. Sometimes graphite fly rods break, so that is why we offer a limited Leland 18 Month Warranty on Sage, Scott, & Winston rods.
