Wisconsin Governor Edward Salomon Signature On 1864 Request For Aid To Soldier For Sale
This is a request by Edward Salomon for a payment to a Wisconsin soldier from the Soldiers' Relief Fund. It is dated Jan. 2, 1864. The 5-1/2" x 8" document is on Executive Office stationery engraved by American Bank Note Company. It signed by Governor Salomon, who was the eighth governor of the state of Wisconsin, serving 1862-1864 during the Civil War.
