Important Note: I was just reviewing this listing& photos after I posted it and in the first photo there appears to be a couple ofwhite spots on2 of thegreen areas in the upper left, also they can be seen about 1/2way down the middle picture.I thought, oh my gosh. So, I unrolled the entire piece again and it was just a few fuzzes that had gotten on it when I hadunrolled it completely the first time, just a little bit ago. So Iremoved them and all is well :) Oops. There was another piece of fuzz on the top purple rectangle on the last picture :)

Absolutely amazing Vintage Alexander Girard Herman Miller textile fabric titled FRUIT TREE 1961. This is FRESH from the local estate of a Retired Herman Miller employee. It has never been folded and is on the original roll. It appears to be an off white linen with a tan silk screened background behind the brightly colored fruit trees. Like new condition, perfect in every way. Colors are INCREDIBLY vibrant. Orange, purple, blue,green, red, black and bright pink. I have done a little research on this fabric and in all of the places I have looked it appears that there were 4 different colorations of this pattern. 1062, 1063, 1064 & 1065 if I remember correctly. The fact is that the only two colorations that I have been able to findare not mine. So....I believe that this is 1063 or 1064. Pretty interesting that there doesn't seem to be any pics of either one of those. Just a # reference for both of those along with pics of just the2 others.I'm thinking that mine is incredibly rare, perhaps a very limited production/edition.

I know that all of the wonderful people that will be looking at this sale will know more about this than me. I would love to hear anything that you would like to share about it.

I am in love with this fabric and have toyed for a couple weeks whether to list it or not....so here it is for all to see! I very much believe that this is a true museum quality piece. I have no problems keeping it although for the right price, it could be yours! :)

I also was unsure as to whether to cut this down and list in pieces or leave it intact. I decided on the latter (I just couldnt do it!)so thelucky, lucky winner can do whatever they please. Leave it as one big piece and frame it (howawesome would that be??) Upholster a couple DCM chairs perhaps? A cool couch? A whole bunch of pillows/cushions? Curtains? The list goes on and on.

I have set a reserve on this sale although once that is met there will be no shipping charge AND I will ship to you on the original roll so that it continues on NEVER BEING FOLDED.
