Wonderful 1920s Vintage Large Pink Tindeco Sunlite Tin Box Lunch Pail W Handles :
Wonderful Vintage Pink Tindeco Larger Lunch Pail
A pink Tindeco lunch pail is always a wonderful find, and this one is larger than the ones you usually see. It is also stamped “Sunlite” on the bottom. Dates to the 1920s or early 1930s.
The vintage wear and patina includes some small areas of wear, some scratches and scuffs, handling marks and soiling, some small dents and dings, etc. A small star is scratched on the center of the lid. Lid has some generalized denting – not sure how else to describe it (see picture of inside of lid), and handles are bent a bit, too. Not much paint loss in general, some wear on ends where handles rest. Metal rims have darkened. Inside is still very gold, possibly some early rust starting at interior crevice (and here and there elsewhere on tin). Bottom still very good, too, with wear around edges. One bottom corner is dented. Hinges and handles are well attached and move freely. Open/close requires some coaxing/effort.
Again, condition issues of note:
(Close up picture of the inside of the lid makes it look a bit worse than it is.)
Approximate size of tin is about 7 1/8” by 4 7/8” at the bottom, by about 4” tall, excluding the handles.
The tin is empty.
