Working 1930's Chelsea Ship's Bell Clock W/ Key - 7.25" Diameter - No Reserve:
This sale is for a Chelsea ship's bell maritime clock. The serial number is 254416, which dates it from 1935 to 1939. The clock was professionally serviced in October 2012. It was disassembled, the parts were cleaned in an ultrasonic bath, then it was reassembled/lubricated/adjusted to working condition. The winding key (not original) and service invoice will be included.
There are scratches and some corrosion on the brass and some scratches on the clock face (see photos). The clock is mounted on a wood plaque suitable for hanging on a wall, but stands are available online that would allow display on a mantle or table.
The bezel (front part with glass) screws on/off , and is 7.25" in diameter. The clock face is 6" in diameter, and the clock is 3" from front to rear.
