Stunning circa 1890 carriage clock by Henri Jacot of Paris.

Complete with original carrying case and key. Serial number 11302 to movement, carry case and key.

Part of the leather on the case that carries the serial number is missing, but 4 out of the 5 digits are there and match up.

This is a simply wonderful example of a late 19th century carriage clock, rare to find with its original case and key!
This is a classic \'corniche\' cased clock holding the beautiful, finest quality movement which is fully marked for Jacot, both the traditional parrot mark to the back plate and a dated oval mark behind the dial plate. It carries the serial number 11302, marked to movement and case, including to the cover plate underneath. The dial is immaculate, pristine, and beautiful in its simplicity. All glass is original and undamaged.

The carrying case is obviously original, a perfect fit.Although inevitably scuffed and tatty externally it retains its purple velvet interior, front slide and partial carrying strap. So rare to find these all together, particularly with such a fine clock as this. It is in perfect working order, keeping excellent time.

SIZE: With the handle down the clock stands 6 inches high, 3 5/8 inches across and 3.25 inches deep.
