Description of item
This is a set of vintage 5 Japanese tea plates of Shigraki ware, which was made about 30 years ago.
The seal of the kiln name is stamped on the bottom.
The original wooden box with the signature of the kiln name is also included.
Shigaraki ware is pottery and stoneware made in Shigaraki area, Japan. The kiln is one of \'The Six Old Kilns\' in Japan. Although figures representing the Raccoon Dog are a popular product included as Shigaraki ware, the kiln and local pottery tradition has a long history.
