Yonezawa Moon Detector M 27 Japan Battery Operated For Sale

Yonezawa moon detector. 1960's battery operated toy. It measures about 9" in length from plastic dome to plastic dome. It is about 4" wide. It is about 4"tall. Ok, there is good and bad with this one. Bad is that there is extensive battery corrosion in the compartment. I think a great deal of it will clean up with appropriate cleaning technique. The front dome has three melt marks. The rear dome light scuffing. There are no tracks. The front track wheel has a melt mark and residual track rubber as shown in picture. The tentacles are intact but do show areas of spring separation. Lights are not working. The on off switch is working but needs proper location to initiate forward movement. Reverse is fine. Finally the good, it does work. Tentacles move side to side. Moves in both directions. Rear dome lights. The litho is bright and shiny. There is light play wear but this item, with noted flaws aside, displays quite well. Please use pictures as part of the description. Please do your research before offerding.
