VERY RARE – Custom Sizes

They are INCREDIBLE sounding and well-made drums. These were Yamaha\'s FlagSHIP drums for many years. They look BRAND NEW. These were the defacto set for studios and \"A\" act equipment rental houses.

Condition
A minor scratch or two (you will have to really look hard to find them). Last photo has scratch on 12 x 10 tom (for full disclosure) that I have been told can be buffed out, but I do not want to attempt.

Original Owner – Smoke-Free and climate controlled home.

Left my home less than 25 times, always in padded cases. Has not been used except for practicing (with rubber silencers), and one studio session since 2008.

In the years since its introduction, the Yamaha Maple Custom Series has become a standard by wich other drums are evaluated, Crafted of all-maple shells, the Maple Custom offers a sound that harkens to the rich and robust tones of collectible vintage drums, but with contemporary attack, projection, and consistent timbre from to drum to drum. The Maple Custom is now acknowledged as a classic of modern times.

All Maple Shell

Maple offers a warm sound with full sustain and outstanding projection. Our original Air Seal System shells feature select maple wood cut in plies, positioned with staggered diagonal seams, and sealed together with evenly distributed air pressure. This process ensures that every drum shell is in round and of uniform thickness. It also provides the shell with superior tone quality and durability. Floor tom and tom shells use a 7-ply design. Additional plies in the 10-ply bass drum shells help produce a low fundamental tone.

Maple Shells and the Vintage Finish

The Vintage Finish is a special synthetic resin finish that is applied by hand on high quality wind instruments. While enhancing the tone of the maple shell, the Vintage finish also provides a durable, waterproof finish that virtually eliminates the influence of weather and humidity on the drum. Over the course of time, the color of the shell with change to a deeper hue that you will surely love.

Lugs

Yamaha\'s small gold lugs consist of a precision-machined lug nut inserted in a small springless casing. Attached to the drum shell at its nodal point by a single bolt, the shell is allowed to vibrate freely. A special nylon insert prevents tension rods from becoming loose during play.

Bass Drum Spurs

A sturdy hexagonal design and fixed angle position allow our spurs to withstand bass drum kicks. Height adjustment and the releasing and retracting of the pointed spur are made easily with a drum key.
