Up for sale here I have a very nice vintage transistor radio made by Zenith. This is the \"Trans-Oceanic Royal D7000Y\" model which features a nautical theme with map graphics, a compass and a book of charts. On the front it reads \"National Weather Service Band\". This radio is in excellent condition both cosmetically and functionally. Looks to have been treasured in a collection, as there is very little wear visible. Once opened up, everything appears to be original and in great shape. It turned right on when I got it, and I was able to listen to FM stations with ease, although I have not tested the many other bands/functions. It comes with the original chart book which hides away in the bottom as well as the service manual in the photos. For more details on the condition, please see the condition section down below. Condition - Radio is in excellent vintage condition as shown. I took a bunch of photos to show the condition thoroughly, so please make sure to view them all. Appears to have been well taken care of, as there is very little wear. The chrome is all bright and shiny, the padded sides are in perfect shape, all parts open with ease, and the battery compartment looks great. I turned the radio on and it tuned to my local FM stations with no problem. Thats about as far as I tested it, so please be aware. The dial light works, and the chart lamp works as well. Antenna is in great shape, and the original power cord looks great. The only (very minor) signs of wear are some light scratches to the chrome on top of the radio/handle as seen in the 11th photo, very little wear other than that. Some I\'ve seen have battery tubes, so this one may be missing those? The batteries are strapped together as shown in the photo of the back side. You won\'t see a much better example of this radio, it is clean/functioning and near mint. I am not an expert on these, so please use the photos to better judge the overall condition.
